BABE VOTE Launches Effort to “Build a LEGION of Voters”
BABE VOTE, an effort to increase youth voter registration and turnout in upcoming elections, was launched today by Boise artist, Spencer Hattabaugh and a small coalition of statewide organizers and creatives. BABE VOTE’s stated goal is to “build a legion of voters,” with its eyes set on getting non-voters to the polls and putting power in the peoples’ hands.
“Profit and politics over people and planet can end in 2020 if we get registered and vote,” Hattabaugh said. “BABE VOTE is a call for the people to take our power back; get registered, get informed, and cast our ballots.”
“The BABE VOTE message has resonated with young people,” said Hattabaugh, who created the brand which focuses on art, lifestyle and voter registration, “and since Millennials and Gen Z make up nearly 40% of the 2020 electorate, now is the time to spread the word and empower non-voters to get registered.”
